LITTLE SILVER, NJ

OUR STORY

It Started With a Better Way.

Continuum started in 2020 with a simple belief: physical therapy could be better.

At the time, founder Dr. Bryan Dau was working as a physical therapist and becoming increasingly frustrated with the traditional model of care. Busy clinics, multiple patients at once, cookie-cutter programs, and not enough time to truly understand the person in front of you had become the norm.

He knew there was a better way.

So Continuum began in a small office in Little Silver with a different approach: one patient, one physical therapist, and a plan built around the individual.

As Continuum grew, Bryan partnered with Dr. Nick Mullery, and the practice moved to Fair Haven. Together, they continued building on the same philosophy of more individualized care, better communication, and a higher standard for helping active people recover and perform.

But physical therapy was only part of the picture.

Too often, people finish rehab only to be left wondering, “What now?” Others want to get stronger, train better, or help their kids develop physically but don't necessarily need physical therapy.

We wanted to create a place for all of it.

In 2025, Continuum returned home to Little Silver and expanded into a full training facility, bringing physical therapy, personal training, strength programs, and youth sports performance together under one roof.

Today, Continuum is more than a physical therapy practice. It's a place where you can recover from an injury, rebuild your strength, and continue training long after rehab is over.

Because we don't believe care should end when you feel better.

There should always be a next step. That's Continuum.

Why Continuum?

The name Continuum represents what we believe health and performance should look like.

There shouldn't be a hard line between rehabilitation, strength, and performance. They are all part of the same process.

You may start with us because you're in pain. You may come in because you want to get stronger. You may be an athlete looking to perform at a higher level. Wherever you start, there should always be a path forward.

That's why we've built a place where physical therapy, personal training, and sports performance work together under one roof.

Recover. Rebuild. Perform. Keep moving forward.

That's the Continuum.

Dr. Bryan Dau, PT, DPT, MBA

Founder + Co-Owner

Dr. Bryan Dau earned his degree in Kinesiology and Movement Science from Penn State University, graduating with honors, before completing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Drexel University and Master of Business Administration at Quinnipiac University.

With more than a decade of experience in physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, and performance training, Bryan has worked with athletes and active individuals of all ages. A former high school and collegiate swimmer himself, he understands the importance of not only recovering from injury, but building the strength and confidence needed to continue performing at a high level.

Bryan specializes in sports-related injuries and performance, with a particular interest in working with runners, triathletes, and active adults. His approach goes beyond treating symptoms. He believes in understanding why a problem developed, addressing the factors contributing to it, and building a long-term plan to help reduce the risk of it happening again.

Frustrated by the traditional physical therapy model and its lack of individualized care, Bryan founded Continuum in 2020 with a different vision: provide one-on-one care, build real relationships with patients, and create a better bridge between rehabilitation, strength, and performance.

Bryan lives in Little Silver with his wife, Caroline, and their children, Jack and Grace. As both a local business owner and member of the community, he's proud to have built Continuum in the town he calls home.

Dr. Nick Mullery, PT, DPT

Dr. Nick Mullery earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Scranton, where he also competed for four years as a member of the men’s lacrosse team.

With a strong background in strength and conditioning, coaching, sports rehabilitation, and performance, Nick brings an athlete’s perspective to the way he approaches physical therapy. He understands that for active people, the goal isn't simply to feel better. It's to build the strength, confidence, and physical capacity to perform at a high level.

Nick takes an individualized, movement-based approach to care, using current research and progressive exercise to guide the rehabilitation process. He works closely with each patient to understand their goals, address the factors contributing to their injury, and build a path forward that extends beyond simply returning to their previous level.

His goal is to help patients come out of rehab stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for what they want to do next.

Outside of Continuum, Nick enjoys staying active through Jiu-Jitsu and spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their two sons, Colson and Cade.
